Southline Little League Code of Ethics &
Zero Tolerance Policy
-I will place the emotional and physical wellbeing of my child ahead of a personal desire to win
-I will treat each player as an individual, remembering the large range of physical and emotional development for the same age group
-I will do my best to provide a safe playing environment for my players. I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all of my players
-I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all of my players. I will be knowledgeable in the rules of the game, and I will teach these rules to my players
-I will use coaching techniques appropriate for all of the skills I can teach. I will remember that I am a youth sports coach and that the game is for children and not adults
-I will safeguard Southline Little League assets, including its equipment, monies and reputation
-I will publicly respect and adhere to Southline Little League officials as well as officials from any other league that may host my team
-I will not use foul language
Southline Little League promotes a Zero Tolerance Policy on the use of drugs, alcohol and tobacco in the vicinity of our youth participants at any of our practices and games. Any transgression of the above listed ethics code and policy will be brought before the Southline Little League Executive board and be subject to disciplinary action.
